Counselling
I offer counselling that’s centred around you - your pace, your goals, and whatever challenges you’re facing. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just need space to talk things through, counselling can help you make sense of what’s going on and find a way forward that feels right for you.
What I Can Help With
You don’t need a diagnosis or a big reason to start counselling - just a feeling that something’s not quite right, and a willingness to talk it through.
I regularly work with people who are:
- Feeling anxious, low or stressed
- Coping with grief or a major life change
- Struggling with confidence or self-esteem
- Feeling stuck, lost or unmotivated
- Wanting to explore difficult past experiences

How It Works
You don’t need to prepare anything before your first session. Just show up as you are.
We’ll go at your pace. Some people come weekly, others fortnightly - we’ll agree what works best for you. Sessions can be short-term or open-ended depending on what you need.
I’ll listen, support you, and gently challenge where helpful. We’ll work together to help you process what’s going on, make sense of the past, and find ways to move forward with more clarity and confidence.

Hazel
I would like to thank Darrel for his kindness and support during the counselling sessions. When I first met Darrel I could barely speak about the trauma that was having negative impact on my life.

Alison
I cannot recommend Darrel highly enough. From the very first session, I felt truly heard and understood. The warmth, empathy, and compassion created a safe space where I could openly share my thoughts without fear
